Who is Antonio?
Antonio Rivero is a Venezuelan singer, actor, drummer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Germany. He studied at the Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK), where he completed a Bachelor of Music, and further developed his artistic practice through vocal and acting training in Berlin, Hamburg, and Lübeck. His acting training includes studies with James Price (The Acting Studio New York) as well as work at the Musical Artist Institute with Ralf Schädler and Christian Schleicher. His vocal mentors include Perrin Manzer Allen, Thomas Maxeiner, and Christian Schleicher.
Antonio has performed in numerous music theatre productions at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin, including Giovanni – Eine Passion, Moon Music II, Casting Clara, and Neue Lieder von der Erde, appearing both as a singer and instrumentalist. As a drummer and percussionist, he has also performed in musical theatre productions such as Hair, Hairspray, and The True Story of King Kong.
Beyond the theater stage, Antonio collaborates with ensembles and orchestras across Germany, including Stegreif – The Improvising Symphony Orchestra, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg, Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg, and the NDR Bigband. He has also performed with internationally renowned artists including Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Angelique Kidjo, Stewart Copeland, Sister Sledge and The Weather Girls. In addition, he performs as a drummer with the band Max & Friends. His work brings together acting, singing, and instrumental performance in a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary music and theater.
Antonio works from his studio in Hamburg, producing music and recording drums, percussion, and vocals for various projects, including Talking Across the Room, Telares and Alejandro Lopes.
